Two types of concrete are cracked and going to crack.  Interlocking pavers maintain their structure and appearance for decades.  Pavers also allow for individual paver repairs to be made whereas a concrete slab is a complete replacement in order to correct cracks. 

Highways and city sidewalks are covered with dull asphalt and concrete.  Pavers add an eye pleasing warmness to a home.  They come in wide varieties of color, size, and texture allowing homeowners to continue their home's style outside.

Paver patios are very durable and have been know to last for 50 years.  Concrete slab tends to have a shorter shelf life before it begins to break down and crack.  Wood decks require cleaning and staining.

Maintenance Free Decks are a popular patio choice.  Decking is needed in many scenarios, but if there is the option of a patio or a maintenance free deck, the paver patio is the cooler option.   Maintenance Free Decking contains a large amount of plastic and becomes very hot in the sun requiring footwear to walk on.  Pavers have high thermal mass which absorbs heat well leading to a cooler patio surface for bare foot walking on hot summer days.
